What an incredible journey it has been! As we mark the first anniversary of the My Zero Carbon project, I can't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. This past year has been a whirlwind of hard work, dedication, and a relentless pursuit of the My Zero Carbon mission to enable as many people as possible to take positive actions on climate change.

Let's start with the achievements that have made this year truly remarkable:

  1. I built a strong online presence, creating a website and four social media accounts (Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok) to share The My Zero Carbon message far and wide.
  2. The My Zero Carbon social media platforms have seen tremendous growth, with over 2,600 followers across all channels and a staggering 6,059 posts shared.
  3. I produced several impactful videos, including "How to Save Energy on Heating Your Home," . This resulted in over 2,600 video views on Twitter alone.
  4. The My Zero Carbon image bank now boasts over 1,200 climate change-related photographs, graphics, and vectors. This ensures Climate Change content is visually compelling.
  5. I inspired real change by sharing practical tips and tricks to reduce carbon footprints.

This journey hasn't been without its challenges. Producing high-quality video content and managing several social media platforms is a demanding task. It requires a significant investment of time and resources. Ensuring the accuracy and credibility of climate change facts and figures has been an ongoing effort.

Every challenge has been an opportunity to learn and grow. I learned the importance of embedding videos on platforms like Twitter for maximum engagement. I also recognized the need to diversify the content.

As I look ahead, the future is brimming with possibilities. I have plans to create more videos, and to explore partnerships with registered charities to amplify the impact of My Zero Carbon. I remain committed to the core mission of My Zero Carbon: empowering individuals to take meaningful action against climate change, one step at a time.

So, let's celebrate this milestone, but let's also renew our determination to make an even greater impact in the year ahead. Together, we can create a greener, more sustainable future for ourselves and generations to come. Join me on this journey, and let's make a difference – one Climate Action at a time.
